Applying for a chaperone licence
In order to apply for a chaperone licence the following should be completed and submitted to us at CEE@hounslow.gov.uk
- an application form
- a recent head and shoulder style photograph
- Proof of address
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required. If you have not subscribed to the DBS update service, you will have to apply for a new DBS check and details of how to apply online will be sent to you after we receive your application.
The fee for a chaperone licence includes the enhanced DBS check and must be made by debit or credit card:
- A professional chaperone (you will receive payment for the employment) - £54
- A volunteer chaperone - £10
Once all checks have been satisfactorily completed, a successful interview has taken place and on-line safeguarding training completed, a chaperone licence will then be issued which is valid for three years. These checks can take up to 3 months, please allow for this.
