Join us for a fun day of crafting and repairing – all for FREE!
Activities include FREE:
- Crafting Session for adults: Beat the cold by making your own draft excluder for your door. Limited vacancies available. Register online to guarantee your space.
- Kids workshop for 10-14 year olds: Learn to repair small gadgets and make fun crafts. Limited vacancies available. Register online to guarantee your child’s space.
- Repair Café: The Heston Repair Café is a FREE event that aims to help the community to save money by having items repaired, learning new skills and reducing waste.
These repair workshops are staffed by experts in key categories (see below) who will be able to diagnose the problem and then guide you through the repair process. These experts will make sure that the item is fully repaired (if possible) and make sure that the item is safe to reuse. You can bring 1 item per category (see below)
- Small Appliances (kettles, toasters, radios, etc.)
- Bicycles & Scooters (NOT e-bikes or e-scooters)
- Clothing or textile items
- Laptops/PCs & Console Devices
As a community, we are always looking to welcome new helpers who have repairing, ad-hoc and/or engagement skills. If you have some free time & would like to join us, please get in touch via email.
Heston Repair Cafe is held on the last Saturday of every month. Please note some months may vary due to holidays or other aspects.
Coffees, teas and refreshments will be available in the café area.
