Volunteer to be a Digital Champion
Who are our Digital Champions?
We recruit and train residents who have a keen interest supporting others to develop their digital skills.
Many of our Champions are on their own learning journey towards employment and we aim to support and equip them with the necessary experience.
Do you want to empower your community through digital? Are you eager to develop your employability and mentoring skills? The Digital Champions programme aims to deliver digital skills to residents to help with their digital literacy. You'll be empowering Hounslow residents by supporting them with fundamental digital skills and increasing their confidence around technology.
What will I be doing?
You will be providing basic digital skills sessions to residents in the community who need online help. Some examples include: helping someone set up emails, guiding someone using social media, helping someone use job search engines, assisting with completing online forms, setting up online banking/shopping etc.
What impact will this have?
- The opportunity to develop your own skills and knowledge around digital technology.
- The chance to part of a community of Champions who can help each other and share ideas.
- Rewarding and satisfying role knowing you’ve made a difference to someone else.
