Advocacy Under the Care Act incorporating Community Care Act Service
For clients whom are being assessed under the Care Act 2014 (for examples, sections 9, 10, 25, 27, 42 and 44) and who are not statutorily entitled to Advocacy under the Care Act but who may benefit from advocacy support nonetheless.
Please note: that consent for a referral would need to be obtained from clients who have not been assessed as lacking capacity.
We have been informed by the LA that the number of referrals for this service is expected to be in the low single digits per year.
Can only be referred by NHS/LA staff. We cannot accept self-referrals.
