Following new rules announced last year by HM Revenue and Customs on the Value Added Tax (VAT) rules regarding leisure centres. Hounslow Council and Lampton Leisure Ltd will be working more closely together to take advantage of these new rules.
Starting May 1st, 2024, Lampton Leisure Ltd now fulfils the role of an agent of Hounslow Council. This strategic move aims to facilitate the Council's adaptation to the VAT changes announced by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
Under this arrangement, Lampton Leisure Ltd will retain its operational role, ensuring continuity in the management and operation of leisure centres. This includes maintaining existing branding, signage, business rates discount, bank accounts, staff employment, systems, and day-to-day management practices.
Importantly, this transition will not compromise the quality of services provided to residents nor impede current or future initiatives related to health and wellbeing delivered through leisure activities.
