If you applied for a school but did not get a place at that school, you have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel.
You cannot appeal if you have not applied for that school.
You can make one appeal per school, in a single academic year, unless there are changed circumstances.
There is no appeal for nursery, as this is not statutory education.
How to appeal

2. Complete and submit the online appeal form
This appeal form is ONLY for Hounslow Community schools. You can find a list of all Hounslow Community schools here.
For all other schools, contact the school directly.
Deadline for appeals
- Secondary Transfer in September 2025 appeals – 1 April 2025
- Starting Reception class and Junior Transfer in September 2025 appeals - 21 May 2025
- In-Year appeals – on going.

Appealing after the deadline
If you appeal after the deadline, your appeal will still be scheduled, but it may be heard later than those who returned their appeal forms on time.
Appeals already submitted
- When you submit an appeal, you will receive a reference number and instructions on how to update or check your appeal status
- If you need to check the progress of an appeal you submitted directly to a school, please contact that school.
