Notice of Election: Brentford and Isleworth Constituency


UK Parliamentary Election

for the

Brentford & Isleworth Constituency


(1) An Election is to be held for a Member of Parliament to service Brentford & Isleworth Constituency.  

(2) Nomination Forms can be obtained from the Acting Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB

(3) Nomination papers must be delivered to the Acting Returning Officer at Electoral Services, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB between the hours of 10am and 4pm after the date of this notice (excluding weekends and bank holidays), but not later than 4pm on Friday 7th June 2024

(4) Nomination papers must be accompanied by a deposit of £500.  The deposit can be paid in one of the following ways:

By means of a banker’s draft drawn on a bank operating in the UK Payable to “London Borough of Hounslow”

By Faster Payments or BACS, quote UKPGE followed by Candidates name to:

  • Account Name: London Borough of Hounslow
  • Account Number: 20364814
  • Sort Code: 60-11-18
  • Bank Name and Address: NatWest Bank, High Street, Hounslow

By legal tender i.e. Bank of England £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes and £2 and £1 coins

Remittance advice to be sent to: paybacs@hounslow.gov.uk and kully.tumber@hounslow.gov.uk. Please quote "UKPGE’ [followed by the name of the candidate]" as the reference on any transactions or communications so that we can identify your payment.  Candidates or their agents are responsible for ensuring that cleared funds are received by 4pm on Friday 7th June 2024

(5) If the election is contested the poll with take place on Thursday 4th July 2024

(6) Applications to register to vote must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer* by midnight on Tuesday 18th June 2024. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/registertovote

(7) New applications to vote by post or to change existing postal or proxy arrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer* by 5pm Wednesday 19th June 2024. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote and www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote

(8) Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer* by 5pm on Wednesday 26th June 2024. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/applyforphotoidtovote

(9) New applications to vote by proxy must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer * by 5pm Wednesday 26th June 2024.  Some applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote

(10) Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer* by 5pm on Thursday 4th July 2024
