Changes to Streetspace trials on Devonshire Road and Bath Road announced
Hounslow Council has announced changes to the borough’s Streetspace trials following further engagement by independent consultants with residents and local businesses.
Hounslow Council has decided that:
- The trial on Bath Road in Hounslow West, where parking was removed to widen the footway to enable social distancing outside some shops, will come to an end in early July.
- The trial on Devonshire Road in Chiswick, where access for motor vehicles has been restricted, will be significantly amended. Provision will be made for restaurants and cafes on Devonshire Road to retain a limited number of parking spaces to use for outdoor dining, but general traffic access will be reintroduced during the daytime (8am to 5pm) before the end of July.
