Important update: Virtual Permits and Emission Based Charges from Friday 28 February 2025
From the 28 February 2025, all new resident parking permits will be issued as virtual. Existing paper permits are still valid until they expire. Virtual permits are linked to your vehicle registration and checked digitally by enforcement officers.
If you only need a parking permit for a short time you can apply for a temporary parking permit, which lasts for one month.

Cost
The permit costs £41.25 for a month from the day it starts.
Apply
Before you begin your application you will need to ensure:
- your property is eligible
- you have read the relevant terms and conditions and data protection statement
- you have proof of residency
Apply for your temporary parking permit
Your permit will be valid in the resident parking controlled parking zone you live in, and you can only apply for two per year.
