I need a permit for my car, but I’m not sure whether I have the correct documents for a yearly permit. What should I do?
In this situation, and assuming you don't have access to off-street parking and would like to park your vehicle on the street, you have two options open to you.
You could apply for;
- A 12-month permit, if you can provide two proofs of address and one proof of vehicle ownership.
Or; - A four week temporary permit, if you provide one proof of address.
Proof of address:
- tenancy agreement
- confirmation of council tax registration
- one utility bill (gas/water/electric/landline telephone - issued within the last 3 months)
- confirmation of entry on the Electoral Register
- photo driving license
Proof of vehicle ownership/keepership:
- Full vehicle registration document (Must show your name and address. We do not accept hand written new keeper slips or sales invoices)
- Hire/lease agreement
- Letter from employer confirming you keep the vehicle at your address (if it is a company vehicle)
- V11 car tax renewal
