I am buying a car soon, how do I transfer my permit?
If you are buying a car and wish to transfer the permit across please email us at: hounslow.permits@nsl.co.uk
In the subject line of your email, please enter “Change of Vehicle.”
Please include the registration of the vehicle for which you have a permit, the registration of the one you are changing it to, as well as the date you intend to take charge of the new vehicle.
We can provide you with cover and instructions on how to transfer the permit, please park legally until cover has been provided.
Once cover has been provided, you will need to email the correct proof of vehicle ownership/keepership in order for us to transfer the permit:
- Full vehicle registration document
- Hire/lease agreement
- Letter from employer (if a company vehicle)
The proof must show your name, address and vehicle registration number. Once this is accepted, you will be contacted for payment of £21.00 to transfer the permit.
