All applicants

  • Death Certificate
  • Applicant’s full Birth Certificate
  • Passport, Driving Licence or other photo ID
  • Proof of residency at time of death, e.g. Bank Statements, Pension Credit letters, or DWP documentation

For applicants wishing to apply for a Discretionary Tenancy

  • All documents requested in (all applicants) above plus
  • Proof of 2 years residency leading up to the date of death if you were acting as full time, non-paid, live-in Carer for the deceased, e.g. Bank Statements, Pension Credit letters, or DWP documentation
  • Proof of 10 years residency leading up to the date of death if you are a family member of the deceased and were not acting as Carer as described above, e.g. Bank Statements, Pension Credit letters, or DWP documentation.
