Dropped kerb enforcement
By law you or your visitors are entitled to park on the carriageway in front of your dropped kerb (driveway) so long as no other parking controls are in place, you do not cause an obstruction, and the dropped kerb is not shared with another property. In addition, you are not allowed to charge visitors for parking there.
Any vehicles not falling into the above categories, which are parked overhanging the lowered part of the dropped kerb (with limited exceptions), will be deemed to be parked in contravention and can therefore be ticketed. In order to safeguard the right to park in front of your own dropped kerb, we will only enforce where the resident has made the complaint and signed a pocketbook to confirm this.
