The decision making process is delegated to the Head of Traffic & Transport, in consultation with relevant ward councillors.
This could include decisions as to whether or not to progress schemes such as Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), other parking or traffic management proposals such as a new pedestrian crossing, cycle or bus improvement, or changes in the designation of the highway (adoption/stopping up orders).
It is worth noting that in most cases the proposal to progress with a scheme will only occur after lengthy consultation so most interested parties will be fully aware of the scheme prior to it reaching the pending decisions list.
If need be, councillors and amenity groups can request an item be reported for consideration by an Area Forum.
