We want to be more open and transparent to you, our residents. Therefore, we are making a host of information available online so you can access data about the borough.
We are publishing data sets in response to public demand through, for example, Freedom of Information requests and to comply with the Local Government Transparency Code 2015
Publishing data sets will increase transparency and allow you to scrutinise the council, as well as to re-use the information. We will, where possible, provide the information in CSV format to encourage accessibility and re-use. We also endeavour to provide up-to-date, high quality data that reaches national standards, allowing you to compare us with other councils.
We publish open data about the council and the services we provide on our dedicated open data portal, data.hounslow.gov.uk.
Some data may appear in more than one data set.
We also routinely publish information under the publication scheme as set out by the Information Commissioner’s Office. This covers who we are and what we do; what we spend and how we spend it; what our priorities are and how we are doing; how we make decisions; lists and registers; and the services we offer.
