Carers calendar
Do you currently look after someone that could not cope without your help? If so, there are events and support services to help you across Hounslow.
Carers are an invaluable part of the community in Hounslow. But without support, being a long-term carer can start to feel isolating and emotionally draining.
The 2021 ONS Census figures show that there are 19,403 carers in Hounslow, 10,493 (54%) of whom provide more than 20 hours of care per week.
You may be one of these carers but not recognise yourself as one. While being a carer can have an incredible impact on someone else’s wellbeing, it can also make it harder for you look after your own.
How we can help
We are supporting our carers by raising the profile of local support available from local organisations, enabling carers to be kind to themselves throughout the year.
You can find a mixture of services, online and in-person sessions and events, activities and support available on this page.
There is a host of information available that can help you to be more active, connect with other carers and professionals, or find support sessions and drop-ins for advice, specialist information, and online resources.
If you feel you are struggling to cope and would like to speak to a professional about your own mental health or suicidal thoughts, please contact the Safe Space Hounslow Helpline.
Check out the dates below and upcoming dates from a range of our partners:
