Improvement Programme 2023-2025
Following on from the Allotment Strategy 2020-2025 The London Borough of Hounslow has committed to invest in allotments across the borough to enhance the gardening experience for all allotment holders.
Timeline: The improvement works are scheduled to commence from October 2023 and are expected to be completed by 2025. We understand that these works may cause temporary inconveniences, but we believe that the long-term benefits will greatly outweigh any short-term disruptions.
Allotments are an important resource and recognised as assets to improve health and wellbeing and promote skills and social inclusion. The overall vision for allotments in Hounslow is to “maximise their value for health and well-being, stronger communities, biodiversity and sustainable living”.
Temporary Allotment Access Changes: During the construction period, there may be temporary changes to allotment access. Please be aware during works there may be contractors on- site. We will keep you updated on any alterations to allotment entrances and pathways, ensuring you can continue to tend to your plots.
