Gunnersbury Park
Gunnersbury is jointly owned and run by Hounslow and Ealing council. In 2014 the councils were awarded two grants by the Heritage Lottery Fund to overhaul the museum and make major improvements to the park.
Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub
Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub is almost complete and when it opens on Monday 6 April, it will be one of the largest outdoor sporting facilities in London. The fantastic new sporting facility in Hounslow is part of the Football Hubs Programme. Adults, juniors and local clubs can soon make full use of two brand new floodlit 3G artificial pitches as well as grass pitches also suitable for rugby and cricket. An eight-team changing pavilion and a sports hall, ideal for Futsal and multi-sport activities, will mean that residents will have access to top quality indoor and outdoor sports facilities throughout the year.
Leisure operator BETTER, will manage the new sports centre, gym and pitch facilities. The new indoor centre will include five large courts, a 100-station gym with state-of-the-art equipment, studio space and changing rooms, offering a range of activities to help local residents enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle all year-round. The new Sports Hub will boast two artificial grass pitches, nine grass football pitches and eight tennis courts as well as multi use Sports Hall for volleyball, badminton, table tennis, indoor cricket, basketball, netball, futsal and handball.
