Redlees Studios
Redlees Studios are located in a three-sided stable block housed over two floors. The interior and layout of the building has been designed to accommodate artists from a wide range of disciplines.
The Gallery
This is a versatile space (13.5m x 6m) used primarily as an exhibition area and for workshops and classes, but also as extra short term studio space, for lecturing, small conferences, meetings and corporate events.
The Studios
There are 6 studios on the ground floor with a glass kiln in Studio 3 and further kilns in Studio 6 and 7. One of these is reserved for guest resident artists and community project workers.
The First Floor (The Hayloft), has 6 studios; one of which is an IT Suite available for all artists to use.
Open Studios
Twice a year the artists at Redlees Studios open their spaces to the public and showcase their latest work.
The Open Studio events take place over a weekend in the Summer and Winter and start with an evening opening with entertainment and guest speakers.
On display you can see a range of arts and crafts including Fine Art painting, sculpture, design-crafts work in ceramics, textiles, jewellery, fashion accessories, glass and gift items.
The Open Studio events provide a perfect environment to become inspired about art, provide a great opportunity to meet local artists, buy or commission work or just simply an enjoyable day out to view an exhibition and take a look around.
