Discretionary Local Crisis Payment (DLCP)

This payment varies in its amount but is available in times of crisis to:

help those with exceptional financial pressures on households
help when someone may be at serious risk
help households following a stay in institutional or residential care and
help households remain in the community instead of entering institutional or residential care

Below are some examples of where we may be able to help with a DLCP payment:

Household facing exceptional stress i.e. family/marital breakdown,
Household facing exceptional pressure i.e. partner or child with a disability,
Households needing help with second hand refurbished white goods; or
Households with unexpected expenses i.e. food costs will be referred to our local foodbank.
