Why is there no phone line for PCN disputes?
PCN disputes are part of a statutory process, which can sometimes end up at adjudication (or rarer, at the High Court). Therefore, it makes sense to ensure that all communication is made in writing, either by email, letter or by uploading directly to our website. That way both sides have a record of what was said by whom and when, and there is less scope for misunderstanding or error. This also ties in with the council’s own audit requirements which we are bound to keep for each PCN.
