Travellers using rail and tube services this weekend are being urged to plan their journey in advance due to strike action and planned station closures.

Transport services in Hounslow will be hit again this weekend due to strike action and planned closures.
On Saturday, 8 October, there will be no London Overground services between 4am and 8am and after 6pm. Services on the District Line between Richmond and Turnham Green will also be disrupted. There will also be limited services on the Bakerloo Line between 8am and 6pm.
Other disruptions on Saturday are:
- There is a planned District Line closure for engineering work between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon.
- The central section of the Elizabeth Line from Paddington to Abbey Wood will have a service of 12 trains per hour until 5:45pm, when services will be reduced to six trains per hour.
- On the east between Liverpool Street and Shenfield, trains will run a reduced service of two trains per hour from around 7:30am until 5:30pm, when services will end.
- On the west from Paddington to Reading or Heathrow will run a reduced service of two trains per hour from around 07:40am until 5:10pm when services will end.
Services affected on Sunday, 9 October will be:
- Services will start slightly later on the London Overground, Bakerloo and District lines, with a good service expected by late morning.
- There is a planned District Line closure due to engineering work between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon, and between Turnham Green and Richmond.
- Elizabeth Line services will start at around 6:30am on the east, and 8am in the west. The Elizabeth line from Paddington to Abbey Wood does not currently run on Sundays.
Transport for London advises travellers to consider alternate means of travel over the weekend, plan their journey and expect delays.
