You can now sign up for Hounslow Council’s 2023/24 Garden Waste Collection Service

If you’re digging out your gardening gloves in preparation for spring, why not consider signing up for Hounslow Council’s Garden Waste Collection Service. Running from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024, the service offers 25 fortnightly collections carried out by Recycle 360, a company wholly owned by Hounslow Council.
The annual service costs £65.00 for the full year, or £32.50 for those in receipt of Council Tax Reduction (Support). New subscribers to the service will receive a 240 litre brown bin and all garden waste collected is treated and turned into high quality compost.
Hounslow Council Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Operational Services, Councillor Guy Lambert, said:
“Year on year, the Council is determined to provide a low cost and convenient service for our residents. We have made the difficult decision to increase the cost of the service this year, in line with the rising costs of inflation. We remain committed to offering a value for money service to our residents. I am conscious that this is an unwelcome increase at a time when making ends meet is difficult for many Hounslow residents but our charges are still low given the increased costs we have to deal with, particularly fuel.
“Providing a 'no hassle', fortnightly collection service to help residents dispose of garden waste and cuttings is just one example of Hounslow's commitment to tackling climate change and creating a greener and cleaner borough for us all."
Residents are advised to sign up before collections begin on 1 April to receive the full service:
- If you are new to the service or simply renewing, then payment can be made easily using all major credit and debit cards, excluding American Express.

- Residents without access to a computer can subscribe by visiting their local library, where a member of staff will be happy to help, or by calling 0208 583 5555.
- If you're currently a Garden Waste subscriber and paid by direct debit last year - please be careful not to subscribe again as you may be due to renew automatically, so look out for notifications about your subscription before renewing.
