Hounslow Council is building on its already successful Community Solutions approach to open new Community Hubs and Family Hubs across the borough.
Published: Tuesday, 27th June 2023
Community hubs are being opened in council buildings, making better use of existing facilities. Each will have a slightly different range of services and activities on offer, based on local needs, and the range of services available will grow over time.
Our first will be based at Feltham Assembly Hall and this will open in September. However, from the end of June, every Tuesday afternoon between 2pm-5pm, Community Solutions and a small number of other Council services and partners will be available on site. Revenue and Benefits, Estate Improvement Team, Housing Engagement, RNIB and EACH (counselling and support) will all be offering services from Tuesday, 27 June and throughout the summer.
There will also be some activities available for people to take part in and residents will have the opportunity to give their feedback to help shape the hub before it opens in September. The latest information about the services and activities available at Feltham Assembly Hall will be available on HounslowConnect.com
The Family Hubs will take a similar approach, bringing together professionals working with families into one place, to provide information, advice and support for families with children aged 0-19 or up to 25 with special educational needs and disability (SEND).
Hounslow Council is committed to creating thriving, greener, safer, and healthier places for our communities to live, play, work, and study. The Community and Family Hubs are part of our commitment to deliver services to our residents and communities closer to home, in a time and place that is convenient to them.
By making it easier for local people to seek help and advice, quicker and earlier, we can help residents and families with whatever issues they are facing.
