Hounslow Council has successfully negotiated a new parking enforcement contract with NSL which starts on 1 December 2023.

This follows Serco’s issuance of a termination notice to the Council prior to the end of the agreed 5-year contract.
In September, the current service provider, Serco, notified the Council of its intention to terminate its contract with the authority, and the Council worked quickly putting in place a procedure to swiftly find a provider to continue the delivery of the parking enforcement service.
This has allowed the Council to replace Serco with NSL under a negotiated agreement so as to avoid any disruption to services. However, once the current contract period expires in December 2025, the Council will consider all available options and providers to determine the best way forward for the service.
All parking activities including enforcement, payment for parking, issuing of permits and Blue Badges will remain unaffected by the change in provider and there will be no disruption to services.
Councillor Salman Shaheen, Cabinet Member for Recreation, Public Spaces and Parking, said:

“As a Council we always put our residents first and wanted to ensure there is no disruption to services whilst getting on board a new provider to deliver this very important service.”
