Hounslow Council has re-opened its Garden Waste Collection service for 2024/25.
Published: Thursday, 15th February 2024
Hounslow Council has opened the sign-up window for its annual garden waste collection service.
The service is an optional waste and recycling offer for residents, and is part of the Council’s commitment to affordable and convenient recycling choices.
Provided by Lampton Services - wholly owned by Hounslow Council - the service offers fortnightly collections of garden trimmings and clippings.
The service begins on 1 April 2024, running through until 31 March 2025. The service costs £65 for the year, or £32.50 for those in receipt of Council Tax Reduction (Support).
Councillor Guy Lambert, Hounslow Council’s Cabinet Member for Highways, Recycling and Health Integration, said:
“Each year, the Council and its partners are committed to making the disposal of garden waste as hassle-free as possible, and our low-cost collection service is once again open for sign-ups.
“We are proud of our Garden Waste service, and proud of each year completing 99.98% of all scheduled collections across garden waste and our other services.
‘As always, the garden waste materials collected are turned into high quality compost which supports our unwavering commitment to decarbonising the borough and our mission to tackle climate change.”
Residents are advised to apply before 1 April to receive the full amount of collections and get the most value for the service.
