Five 'Tours & Trails' are designed by local creatives, showcasing the history of the borough through arts and culture

From today, residents and visitors of all ages can visit inHounslow to access, self-guided tours of Hounslow, Brentford, Feltham and Chiswick.

As part of the Hounslow’s Summer of Culture programme, ‘Tours & Trails’ has been developed and created by five Hounslow-based artists and creatives - Amy Tickner, Trevor Moore, Ekta Kaul, Gideon Reeling and Jack Fairey.

These creators have demonstrated a strong passion for telling the personal or fictional stories of our residents, and sharing the unique history, culture and landscape through art, storytelling or music.

All the tours and trails can be completed by foot, cycling or using public transport. They are free and family friendly. Maps or instructions of trail routes can be found on the Summer of Culture’s Tours and Trails website.

“The ‘Tours & Trails’ initiative is a new collaboration between the Council and local creatives, showcasing the history of the borough through arts and culture while helping nurture homegrown talent.

“We are proud to present this new project during the Summer of Culture for our residents and visitors of Hounslow to see, do and explore. I hope residents across the borough will take part in these trails to learn more about Hounslow’s unique culture and heritage.”

Participants can listen to recordings, see historic pictures and read more about a place by using the QR codes to access culture stories of each destination.
