Hounslow’s Inwood Road Car Park re-opens this week with a new look.
The Council-owned car park closed at the beginning of July for a major makeover. The work has included resurfacing the car park with new road markings and a completely new look and feel.
Inwood Road Car Park is a convenient parking place for people using Hounslow Town Centre. The improvements that have taken place are part of a wider programme to update Council-owned car parks across the borough. With more improvements to Inwood Road planned for the future.
Other Council-owned car parks that have recently received a makeover include Bell Road, which has been resurfaced and Montague Road West car park, which has seen new lighting installed and further improvements still to come.
Councillor Shivraj Grewal, Hounslow Council’s Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Recycling and Transformation, said: “We are pleased to be re-opening Inwood Road Car Park this week as a great example of the work we are doing to make these facilities safer, cleaner and brighter for everyone to use.
“We understand that travelling around our borough by car is really important to our residents and it is crucial that we have parking facilities that we can be proud of.”
Hounslow Council recently launched a new parking strategy for the borough to ensure that council-operated car parking is of high quality and remains an important part of the borough’s transport network.
