If you want to support your local community this Christmas many of Hounslow’s charities and community groups are looking for volunteers and donations.

See below where you could help out:

Volunteers:

  • Volunteer drivers (collect food from supermarkets and deliver parcels to service users)
  • Volunteer gardener at its allotment or veg plot

 

Donations to support Christmas hampers to support 500 people.

Anne Shine Charity UK

 

 

Donations - anything is welcome but ideas include: 

  • Child/Adult clothing including underwear

  • Toys

 

The charity will accept donations until Friday 22 December.

  • Nappies, baby toiletries

Donations for Children’s Storehouse

  • Good quality clean baby and children’s clothing and shoes up to age of 5.
  • Fully working baby equipment (no car seats)
  • Newborn buggies and baby cots in good condition and working order. 
  • Toy donations for children aged 0 – 8; toys that promote children’s development in imagination, communication, and hand-eye coordination. 

 

Donations can be dropped off when the church is open: 

  • Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm
  • Saturdays 10am – 12pm
  • Sundays 9am – 1pm
