Discover new opportunities with some of the country’s top employers at Hounslow Council’s Apprenticeship Marketplace Job Fair event taking place this month.

Organised by Work Hounslow along with the Council’s Skills and Employment team to mark National Apprenticeship Week (10 - 16 February), the Marketplace Job Fair offers residents and young people the chance to find jobs paying the London Living Wage, apprenticeships, training and more with over 20 firms.
Among the big-name businesses and organisations already confirmed are the West London NHS Trust, National Physical Laboratory, London Fire Brigade, Marriott, Metropolitan Police.
There will also be a chance to speak face to face with employers to get some real insights into the jobs on offer and advice on applications with a series of workshops.
The event will take place on the sixth floor of Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, between 10am and 3pm on Thursday, 13 February.
Additionally, Work Hounslow will be able to offer free guidance to employers across all sectors on accessing the UK Government’s apprenticeship funding, which businesses and organisations based in Hounslow can benefit from. Also known as the Apprenticeship Levy, up to £400,000 is available to support apprenticeship recruitment, upskill existing staff or address skills and knowledge gaps.

“By working closely with employers, we are committed to creating sustainable pathways for local employment, fostering economic growth and building a thriving community. Our goal is to empower our residents and young people with the skills and qualifications needed to secure good jobs with fair pay.
“I’d like to encourage any resident aged 18 or above who is looking for a job to register with Work Hounslow for free advice and support in employment, training, volunteering and upskilling opportunities.”
