All Hounslow infant and primary schools (except Edison Primary and Nishkam School West London) have nursery classes.
Children can take up a free 15-hour place in these school nurseries in the September after their third birthday.
They can’t be admitted before the school year in which they reach the age of four.
Working families who meet certain eligibility criteria can also claim an additional 15 hours of free education and childcare a week - 30 hours in total. You can check your eligibility
Children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 can start in the nursery class of one of our schools in September 2024.

Education in a school nursery is not compulsory and it may not be possible for every child to secure a place in a school nursery. If your child already has a place at a private day nursery or playgroup, you may prefer to keep them there until they start reception in the following September.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to up to 15 hours of early education each week for 38 weeks of the year.
